Your missions stay on your phone.
Effective October 7, 2026
- Pegasus Zulu does not collect, store or sell any personal data.
- There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
- Everything you enter is kept on your iPhone. The app has no servers and makes no network requests of its own.
- Information leaves your phone only when you choose to share it.
What the app keeps, and where
The missions, times, notes, settings, profiles and logbook you enter are stored on your iPhone, inside the app's own storage. They are not sent to us or to anyone else.
Like other app data, they are included in your device backups (iCloud Backup or a backup to your computer) if you have backups turned on. Those backups are handled by Apple under your Apple Account settings, not by us. Deleting the app deletes its data from your phone.
What we collect
Nothing. The app contains no analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking code, and no third-party software development kits. It does not use your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or calendar, and it reads Health data only as described below. We cannot see what you enter, and we have no way to identify who uses the app.
Permissions the app asks for
- Notifications. Alerts for the events you choose are scheduled on your iPhone itself. They are not sent through any server.
- Alarms. Only if you turn on the wake-up alarm. The app asks iOS to ring an alarm before each duty day, worked out from the missions on your iPhone. iOS rings it on the iPhone itself; nothing is sent through any server.
- Apple Health. Only if you turn on Sleep before Show. The app asks to read Sleep, and nothing else, from Apple Health on your iPhone, to show how much you've slept before Show. It never writes to Health. What it reads is used only on your iPhone, to show your sleep in the app: it is never sent to us or anyone else, never used for advertising or marketing, and never shared, sold or combined with other data. You can turn it off in the app, or remove access in the Health app under Sharing, Apps, Pegasus Zulu.
- Face ID. Only if you turn on App Lock. iOS checks your face, or your passcode, on the iPhone and tells the app only whether it matched. The app never sees or stores any biometric data.
Live Activities, the Dynamic Island and Home Screen widgets show information the app already has on your phone. They do not send it anywhere.
When you share something
Information leaves your phone only when you choose to send it, through the iOS share sheet or another app you pick:
- Mission card and timeline text. An image or text of the mission you are sharing.
- Mission link. The mission's details (callsign, notes, airfields, dates and times) are carried inside the link itself, so anyone you send it to can read them. The link is not stored on any server.
- Add to Calendar. A calendar file of the mission's times, which you choose where to save. The app never reads your calendar.
- Trip itinerary. A text or PDF summary of a trip, sent wherever you choose.
- Opening a field in Maps. If you tap to open an airfield in Maps, that app receives the airfield's location.
- Opening this website. The Privacy Policy and Website links in the app open these pages in Safari, only when you tap them. Nothing about you or your missions is sent with them, and the site uses no cookies or tracking.
What happens to shared information after that depends on the app or person you sent it to.
Unclassified use only
Pegasus Zulu is a personal planning aid. Do not enter classified information, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) or anything your unit treats as OPSEC-sensitive, including callsigns and notes. You are responsible for what you enter and what you share.
Contacting us
If you email us from the app, the message is pre-filled with the app version, iOS version and device model to help track down problems. Nothing about your missions or settings is included. We use your email only to reply, and we do not share it.
Children
Pegasus Zulu is not directed at children under 13 and collects no information from anyone.
This website
This site uses no cookies, analytics, tracking, advertising or third-party fonts and scripts. Like any website, the company that hosts it may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to deliver and protect the site.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If the app ever begins to collect data, this policy and the App Store listing will say so before it does.
