Something wrong or missing?
Email the developer directly. Every message is read, and fixes and new airfields go into the next update. You can also write from inside the app under ☰ → Contact & Feedback, which fills in the app and iOS version for you.
Keep it unclassified: no callsigns, mission details or anything OPSEC-sensitive.
Common questions
A local time looks wrong.
Local times come from each airfield's own time zone, including daylight saving for the date of the mission. Check that the departure and arrival fields are the right ones, and whether you entered the time in Zulu or in local (the switch at the top of the mission form). If a field's time zone is wrong, email us its ICAO code and we will fix it.
My alerts aren't arriving.
Check three places: in the iPhone Settings app, that notifications are allowed for Pegasus Zulu; in Pegasus Zulu under Settings, that Mission alerts is on; and on the Events tab, that the bell is on for the events you want. A Focus mode can also hold alerts back. Alerts are scheduled on your phone, so they arrive with the app closed.
When does the Live Activity appear?
Turn it on in Settings. It appears at LFA and stays until 10 minutes after landing. On iOS 26 and later it starts itself at LFA with a soft chime, even with the app closed. On earlier versions, open the app once after LFA to start it. iOS ends any Live Activity after about eight hours, so on long missions it may end before you land; your alerts still arrive.
My sleep isn't showing.
Sleep before Show reads what your watch or ring's app has sent to Apple Health, so first open that app and let it sync: Garmin Connect, for one, only sends to Apple Health while it's open. Then check three places: that the app sends Sleep to Apple Health (in its own settings); that Pegasus Zulu can read Sleep, in the Health app under Sharing, Apps, Pegasus Zulu; and that Sleep before Show is on, in Pegasus Zulu under Settings, Fatigue. The card shows sleep from a day before Show until you report.
Which watches and rings work with Sleep before Show?
Any that send sleep to Apple Health, including Garmin (through Garmin Connect), Oura, WHOOP and Apple Watch. Fitbit doesn't send sleep to Apple Health. If you wear two, the one you pick in Settings counts for a night both recorded; otherwise the one with sleep stages does. Watches estimate, so the times are rounded to five minutes.
How do I enter a Julian date?
Tap JD beside the date in the mission form and type the five-digit Julian date. Tap CAL to go back to calendar dates.
Is my logbook backed up?
Your data lives only on your iPhone and is included in your normal iCloud or computer backups. To move to a new phone, restore it from a backup. Deleting the app deletes its data.
What is the Red theme for?
Red folds everything into one dim red, emoji included, to protect your night vision in a dark cockpit. Choose it under Settings, Appearance.
Are the duty limits official?
No. Limits, offsets and defaults are starting values you set to match your own current guidance, and the app is not updated when guidance changes. Verify every time, limit and calculation yourself. Pegasus Zulu is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Air Force or the Department of Defense.
Does Pegasus Zulu collect my data?
No. There is no account, no analytics and no server. See the privacy policy for the details.
